Be Still

I have 2 praise reports of things I want to thank the Lord for.  One was an instance when I really saw His protection over me.  Something could have been so much worse - and I immediately had the sense that angels were there with me, guarding me and protecting me.

The second thing was a security emergency.  I was making calls, trying to get help, and hitting a dead end.  I stopped and prayed - reminded the Lord that He's my husband and that I needed His help - and in just a few minutes I had a solution.  Thank you Lord!

Both of these things may seem like small things, but they were huge to me!  I could see God's help and presence with me.  It was so encouraging.

Someone sent me a little chart about a verse from Psalm 46:10. "Be still, and know that I am God."  I often try to "quieten" my heart in difficult times and listen for God speaking to me in the midst of whatever it is I'm facing.  I love how this chart organizes the truth of that verse.

Such a short, simple verse - and yet it's filled with instruction, power, and promises.  I love it!  It can apply to anything we're facing.  At any time.  A lot is packed into those 8 words!!

"All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom."  Isaiah 28:29

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."  Hebrews 6:19

"You will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in me will not be disappointed."  Isaiah 49:23b

God doesn't disappoint us!  He's with us 24/7 and He helps us with whatever we face.  How wonderful He is!
